I want to personally welcome everyone one to the Hunter Spouses' Clubs new year.
I hope everyone has had a terrific summer! It is that time again; time to get our year underway. We have a wonderful year planned for you and I hope that
you will all join us for fun, fellowship, good food, great entertainment and community service.
Our new year will kick off with a Luau themed Super Sign Up on August 31, 2010
at Hunter Club from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. This will be an opportunity for you to sign up and become a member, to meet some wonderful spouses, enjoy some light
finger foods, door prizes, opportunity gifts, shop with some local vendors, and a cash bar will also be available. The cost of membership is $20.00. If for some
reason you cannot join us that evening you can also sign up for your membership through our website. We do hope you can make it though; we are going to have
a blast!
We have some wonderful events planned for you this year to include: a Triathlon in
September, a Bazaar in November, Bunco in January and a Basket Auction in April. This is just a taste of some of the events that will be coming up. Our luncheons
will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. This club is a good way for you to get away and enjoy other adults and have some fun! If you want to learn about
what the theme will be for that month and/or find out about other activities that are going on, please visit our website each month for more information.
We will also have several special activities going on throughout the year that will keep
you having fun and may touch on interests you might have, such as a Lunch Bunch that will meet several times throughout the year. This is a fun way to learn
about and enjoy the local "flavor" of Savannah restaurants. This has been a huge success for the last two years and I encourage you all to come along with us and
make it another huge success! There will be a Wine Club, a Book Club and a new club is in store for us that will be called, "Out and about in Savannah." Hopefully
one or all of these clubs will be a fit just for you.
I want to thank all of the ladies who stepped up to volunteer for the board this year.
You are all truly amazing women. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the hard work you have done over the summer and will continue to do
throughout the year for this club and the HAAF community.
If any of you are interested in getting more involved in a volunteer aspect for our club,
we will have opportunities throughout the year for you to come and help out. Volunteerism is truly an amazing way to give back to those in need and to make new
friends while you are at it. I highly recommend volunteering and getting involved, it is good for the mind, body and spirit! Again, welcome to the 2010-2011
